If you look at a typical corporate data center design you'll find that important applications either have their own dedicated infrastructure or that shared elements have been overengineered to far exceed requirements. Either approach underutilizes resources and wastes your IT budget. NetApp has been collaborating with Cisco and VMware to address these problems to allow you to create a shared infrastructure that offers end-to-end secure multi-tenancy without sacrificing quality of service, ease of management, or availability. I wrote an article for the June issue of Tech OnTap that provides an overview of the efforts by the three companies with links to the latest Cisco Validated Designs, including the Design Guide and Deployment Guide.
