Cisco, NetApp, VMware Announce Joint Capability Providing Secure Multi-Tenancy

Currently Being Moderated

Security, isolation of data and applications, and quality of service are major concerns when it comes to cloud and virtualized shared infrastructure deployments. Cisco, NetApp and VMware teamed up recently to address the needs of the cloud by developing the industry's first tested joint capability to deliver Secure Multi-Tenancy.  This architecture and testing methodology has been documented in a Cisco Validated Design (CVD). In the January issue of Tech OnTap, Chris Naddeo wrote an article that described the key elements of this architecture and included a detailed discussion on how it delivers on all of the functions at each layer (VMware virtualization, server hardware, networks, storage). You can check out the article at http://www.netapp.com/us/communities/tech-ontap/tot-smt-qos-1001.html

What are your biggest concerns about going to the cloud and a virtualized shared infrastructure? Where are you on your journey to the cloud and what successes, best practices or hiccups can you share?
