Scalability issue with snapcreator scripts

Currently Being Moderated

Hi all,

I am attempting to write a script similar to the one found at https://communities.netapp.com/community/netapp-blogs/databases/blog/2013/09/18/integrating-snap-creator-into-asmlib-clones that will help integrate snapcreator clones with ASMlib. However, I seem to have run into a scalability issue.

I am using the above script as a guide on the process. The script in the link  appears to simply look for all luns with ontap paths containing “cl_” in sanlun lun show –p and then act on those. The issue arises when we already have a cloned database running from “cl_” luns. The script would attempt to work on all “cl_” luns (even if there is a database currently running) as well as newly added “cl_” luns. Is there some sort of way to have snapcreator pass the ontap paths to a post action script only for the luns that were cloned for the current snapcreator run ?
