We have SD 7 installed. When i try to expand a disk using SD it show maximum size of a disk ~8TB, which is in fact almost twice more then we have on filer at all.
I tried reinstall / upgrade SD, but it is still there. Windows disk utility show free space wrong as well.
Any ideas / advices would be really appreciated.
Here it is:
VAN-NETAPP-LAB2> df -gh
Filesystem total used avail capacity Mounted on
/vol/vanibisqlwqa1_sprocket_insightdb/ 1275GB 905GB 369GB 71% /vol/vanibisqlwqa1_sprocket_insightdb/
/vol/vanibisqlwqa1_sprocket_insightdb/.snapshot 0TB 0TB 0TB ---% /vol/vanibisqlwqa1_sprock
This options was set to volume.
If SD is seriously broken the only way to fix it is to remove completely and reinstall. Is that correct?
Because the simple upgrade to the version 7 did not help and I expected
it to report a problem within upgrade, if it was there, but I was promped to insall only MS .NET Framework 4 and that was it.
You will not believe, but complete uninstall, reboot, registry clena up, install did not fix the issue.
Once it was unistalled, checked diskpart and it was showing correct information.
I am puzzeld, looks like it is inside OS, it can be freshly reinstalled, but I want to know root cause w/o blindly
wiping it out.
