I have a problem with mounting a NFSv4 share when auditing is enabled at the root of this volume.
We use NFSv4 with krb5 security.
As soon as I remove the auditing entry I am able to mount the volume again.
Her is how the volume root rights and audit settings are:
toaster> fsecurity show /vol/test
[/vol/test - Directory (inum 64)]
Security style: NTFS
Effective style: NTFS
DOS attributes: 0x0030 (---AD---)
uid: 0 (root)
gid: 0 (root)
mode: 0777 (rwxrwxrwx)
NTFS security descriptor:
Allow - XX\yyyyy - 0x001f01ff (Full Control) - OI|CI
Allow - Everyone - 0x001f01ff (Full Control) - OI|CI
All - Everyone - 0x000f01ff (Full Control) - OI|CI
And I get this message in the log:
User Identifier (UID) (65534) to Windows Security Identifier (SID) mapping failed. Access
is denied to NFSvX operation (v4 compound) from host (x.x.x.x) because CIFS auditing is enabled.
ONTAP 7.3.6 Simulator
Has anyone a idea why thsi is the case?
