We are currently trying to move several vfilers fra one storage system to another. They are both running 8.1.3GA
The vfilers are protected via DFM, (this is done from vfiler0 as this is the only way DFM can handle it).
We have a snapvault relation to a backup filer (also running 8.1.3), this then have a snapmirror relation to a third system (also 8.1.3)
After we have completed the vfiler migrate either from DFM GUI, or from commandline, the snapvault relation is gone... this is, the snapshot is still there, but it does no longer contain the status of snapvault!
We have tried to do a snapmirror by hand, and if we leave out the quiesce and just break the mirror, we end up with the same result, this is, the snapvault relation is gone...
If we remember to do a quiesce before the break, the snapvault relation is OK...
But we would very much like DFM to handle this, so it may also update the snapvault relation which has now been moved to another filer, with another IP etc... I know there is a long and tiresome description of how to move the primary snapvault relation within DFM, but why does the migrate function correctly here??? Is it a known bug ?
