We are in the process of rolling out NFSv4 with user authentication to Active Directory. For this to work, LDAP integration with AD has been set up. Now we have been told by our Security guys that they had to disable DES encryption support on the AD Domain Controllers because of some serious security issues.
As I understand that, this is a showstopper for our offering of NFSv4 service, as DES seems to be the only encryption supported by NFS on Netapp ?
Is there anyone out there having more insight into this and might help? At least with an outlook that some stronger encryption such as AES will be supported by Netapp ?
