I am using OnCommand Reprt 1.2 and I have created several reports, where I use the "Search Values" functionality in Filters to NOT display all volumes names containing the term "mirror", as these volumes are our snapmirror target volumes and I want to report primary storage only.
When I do this, this results in a filter condition, which contains all the volume names containing the term "mirror" and I get the right result for the moment. But the filter is stored in static list of volume names containing the term "mirror" (for an example lets say I have 250 mirror volumes today).
When I run the report again after some weeks (scheduled to run each month) the filter will not be updated dynamically, but the list of volumes contaning the term "mirror" will be used again, and all the new snapmirror target volumes created the last month will be listed in my primary storage report.
Can anyone shed some light how to create a "dynamic updating" filter, what means each time I run the report I would like to see my exclusion list to be updated to represent the new list of "mirror" volumes?
How can this be done?
I have played around with the option "ask for input at each run" (I use the german version, hope my translation fits somehow???) and the option "Use Filter on individual values in the data source" but none of the options gave the desired result.
