We recently moved a fas3240 to our dr location and ever since the 10gb interfaces on the filers will drop connection for about 10 minutes at random. This never happens to both filers at the same time and it happens at different times all thru out the day. Each filer has two interfaces port channeled together to a cisco 5000. LACP and jumbo frames are turned on for these interfaces. This system at current is only being used for snap mirror backups and the jobs run between the hours of 12am and 6am. The snap mirror jobs never seem to experience any issues even though I see the interfaces drop during the backup window.
To me everything points to routing issues but the network team and I cannot seem to find anywhere why these interfaces would just randomly go down and then come right back up. This even happens at times of NO traffic being sent to the dr site.
So I guess im really consulting the community here to try and get some suggestions on maybe something to look at because we are all stumped. There are other servers in the DR datacenter connected to the 5000 that are not having this issue.
I have looked at the snap mirror logs and the syslog's and nothing shows any issues with the filers and there interfaces. Are there possibly some interface logs or traffic logs that I am over looking that could help me prove the filers are not the ones causing this?
