I have n6040 active/active. Two loops / stacks.
One has 4 EXN3000 shelves - two with 450 SAS 15K, another two with 600GB 15K
Other one has 5 shelves - two EXN3000 with 450GB 15K and three with SATA 2TB
First question - is that OK to have shelves with SAS 15K and other shelves with SATA in the same stack/loop ? (probably not good )
Second question - is that possible to re-connect concurrently these two shelves with 450-s to the first stack where only SAS shelves are ?
Because reconnection would be one cable at a time - at some point shelves will be connected to two loops simultaneously.
Is that OK ?
Need I/O to be going during re-connection.
SATA and SAS in a same stack is supported and works.(best pracitse could be, that SATA and SAS have their own stacks)
If I remeber correcty it's okay to have example first two shelfs SATA and then two SAS shelfs.
But not the way, that every second shelf is different type.
It's not supported and I wouldn't do it, even tough I wanted to...
I would find a weekend to halt the filer and do the changes.
