Unable to open function/address mapping file /etc/boot/mapfile_7.3.1.L: no such file

Running sim v7.3.1 on ubuntu linux in vmware v1.0 server.. getting error "Unable to open function/address mapping file /etc/boot/mapfile_7.3.1.L: no such file" every hour. Does not seem to cause any problems but is a pain in the kester.. any clues?

Seems to be an issue, I have also noticed this in my setup. I have raised a bug (internal) to track this.

the same in my installation.

vmware workstation --> ubuntu --> simulator 7.3.1

Add me to this,

 

Vmware Fusion 2.0.5, Ubuntu 8, sim 7.2 and 7.3.

 

It does not bother me though as it only happens when I put the laptop in sleep. a restart of the SIM fixes it. However it might be

a problem for others of course.

Okay.. here is the fix... copy the /etc/boot/mapfile_7.3.1.x (where x is any letter.. mine was mapfile_7.3.1.O) from the DataOnTap 7.3.1.x CD to the /etc/boot/ directory on the simulator and rename it mapfile_7.3.1.L. Reboot the simulator..
