Flexscale-pcs

I'd like to play with flexscale-pcs in the simulator. when i type "options flexscale.enable pcs" it seems to enable the PCS countes, at least thats what it says. however, when i try to run "stats show -p flexscale-pcs" the counters don't show up. it looks like its not gathering any information.

any idea why it isn't working?

My netapp simulator which was running for long time started panicing after recent restart with

below error.

Searched multiple sites for recovery procedure without any success.

NetBackup with Simulator

Hi,

ONTAP 7.3 simulator has 4 tape drives available. While integrating these with NetBackup 6.5, i am able to view the drives by issuing

set_ndmp_attr command, however, the Netbackup software does not detect the drives on scanning the filer.

Please suggest if you have any answers.

Anyone else seeing slow write speeds when using the netapp simulator??

I get the expected 100Mbit read speads... but it seems like its crawing along at 10Mbit when writing...

This is for NFS writes... Machines are on the same network.

Any thought Ideas would be great.

Running sim v7.3.1 on ubuntu linux in vmware v1.0 server.. getting error "Unable to open function/address mapping file /etc/boot/mapfile_7.3.1.L: no such file" every hour. Does not seem to cause any problems but is a pain in the kester.. any clues?

GLIBC 2.3 not found

Hello,

I am trying to set up the Ontapp simulator in a virtual environment using Redhat 7.2.

I did the install of the 7.3.1 simulator software according to the set up guide, but when I go to launch it I get:
./maytag.L: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: version 'GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by ./maytag.L)

Perhaps I need to add a 2.3 package to my Linux install? I downloaded a 2.3 package but I don't know how to install it.

Unable to view the config files

Hello all

I have created a storage backup of configuration files using the following command

But I am not able to view the file . It says the file doesn't exist

[root@redhatas4 log]# sim config dump 07_09_2009

[root@redhatas4 log]# ls -l /sim/vol0/etc/configs/07_09_2009

ls: /sim/vol0/etc/configs/07_09_2009: No such file or directory

But I can able to overwrite the existing file and it doesn't show any warning like the file doesn't exist

[root@redhatas4 log]# sim config dump -f -v 07_09_2009

Needs help in this issue .
